This way i can wash the windows, do other things. Dave M 08-24-2001, 02:39 PM The cap threads will more than likely have some gas residue on them, and if the threads touch the paint and the gas is reformulated gas then you will more than likely get some nice brown stains on the paint. Just FYI from my experience with my white A4 (I hung the cap with the threads on the outside of the filler door).
