Can anyone tell me why the A6 motor produces 200 hps. compared to 190 hps. for the A4? Thanks

This has been discussed before...and I believe it was determined that the exhaust manifold on the A6 is slightly different on the A4..and thus produces an addition 10 bhp. It was also thought that it would not fit the A4 engine bay. I know of no other reasons.<p>Steve S.<br>97 2.8QM

Asked a dealer--he claimed that the A4 chip was detuned.

The A6 has a different exhaust header and a dual muffler system.
