Local Indy Dealer said they would not help me locate a 4.2 allroad because they say...the 4.2 motor mated to the A6 Tranny is not as good as one mated to the A8 Tranny.

Does this mean that the A6 sedan 4.2 is mated to the A8 tranny? I ask because I have never heard of major tranny issues from C5 A6 4.2 owners?
