Tailgate trim (sun shade), removing and installing
1 - Tailgate trim (bottom section)
Removing
- Remove sun shade Page 70-167 .
- Remove screws -5- (4x).
- Remove screw -3- (1x); (2x) in vehicles with children's bench.
- Remove screw behind warning triangle Fig. 1 .
- Pry out trim plate -13- with a screwdriver.
- Pull bottom section of trim -1- away from tailgate slightly.
- Using a screwdriver, release clips -11- (8x) on bottom section of trim -1-.
- Push out light -12- from inside.
- Disconnect connector for light -12-.

Removing
- Using a suitable plastic tool -5-, pry out sun shade -2- at the sides.
- Remove screws -3- (2x).
Installing
- Secure fastening strap -4- with screws -3- (2x).
- Press sun shade -2- into bottom section of tailgate trim along full length.
3 - Screws (2x) Tightening torque: 2.5 Nm (22 in lb)
