the current scenario...car back together after new MAF, new DV valves, DV check valve, still same symptoms:
start up seems like full boost and ok up to 3k RPM's then almost nothing from 3 to 4k and then a kick in of what really doesn't seem like boost just some power but no torque (I know I might not be using the right words but want to describe what is physically happening, feeling)...the wierd thing is the more I drive it at 4k or above then it seems bad at lower rpms as well. With all covers off engine (I have never driven it this way before so have no comparison feel) it feels like when the turbos should kick in there is a whooshing sound in the engine compartment (my tech thinks it sounds like hissing but I feel it is a larger sound than that)...the psi on both turbos reads low with a gauge on them...5 on the right 7 on the left at WOT. Have checked all through exhaust, intake and intercoolers, all vacuum hoses...can't easily get to the wastegate so that could still be a culprit...thoughts anyone this one seems tricky...and if you think it is turbos or the cars' ECU please say it quietly as at this point with no CEL I will simply turn it in somewhere and hope they can't spell turbochargers...TIA as always. Keep in mind I have no access to local VAG so most monitoring, metering is being done by vacuum test and testing the sensors for proper operation manually. Also please do not say find a new tech because there are none and the dealers are expensive and stupid and the German indy is just as expensive and amazingly just as stupid so this is as good a help as I'm going to find baring Ex_Pz flying out for a visit:)
