Default My girl died last night so that my wife could live............

my wife got rear ended in Westport, CT while at a complete stop...the police averaged that the Ford F150 crew cab that hit her was traveling at about 40 MPH. The truck pushed the car about 50 feet from the initial impact. My wife does have some injuries but not life threatening and she is currently at the hospital. I remember that someone posted last week asking about the safety of the allroad.....perhaps this post and the pic answers your question. Oh, by the way.....all 4 doors open perfectly

Default Glad your wife is okay. From the damage, it doesn't look like the truck was slowing down at all.

The rear passenger area still looks intact though. Crazy.

So glad your wife is OK, much to be said for a car designed to sacrifice itself for our safety.

Default Louis..I'm sorry about you wife...but glad she reasonably OK...

Iin a similar accident and story, one allroad owner went the next day to the used car lots and simply bought another allroad.

With a truck hitting from behind the car did it job very well.

Default Hard to say, No doubt that thought crossed my mine when looking at picture.

I have a hard time of judging depth from looking at a picture. The back tire looks bald to me.
