Default Nav+ RNS4 install (lots of pics inside)

I just completed the Nav+ RNS4 CD install in my 2001 allroad, based on TeddyBgame experience. Thx !
I didn't want to install the RNS-E DVD because of my 2001 black A/C front plate. Did not like the idea Nav and A/C color won't match (RNS-E is gray). Another reason : RNS-E is really expensive. Here, cost was low : $1100 all included.
Install was easy. So far, I do not have any regret, I love the color screen and the Navigation

I published pics on a French Audi fan forum, but because I love this forum, I wanted to share them with you too (sorry for the french comments)

Would it work with the 04 AR?
Can you play the audio CD's when navigation is working?

Default Yes, It will work,

assuming 2 or 3 differences concerning the CAN BUS mainly. TeddyBGame has described very well what are differences between 2000/2001 and 2002/2005 install.
Yes, You can play music from the CD changer or from the AM/FM radio during navigation.

Hi mate. Is the your instrument cluster display works properly and shows radio-CD-navi information?

I would check out an RNS-E as compared to an RNS-D seen here.
Go to QuattroWorld.com and find a guy named Zawa on the classifieds.
Email him and he will hook you up with a newer form of the 2012 RNS-E and it's just awesome.
