Audi Flagship listing 1 Degree to Starboard
My new A8L settles on a level garage floor with the right wheel arch top about 10-13mm lower than the left. I am being told by the dealer that this is within specs and that the level controller on the adaptive air suspension levels this out when the car starts to move.
Question: has anybody else experienced this effect and if so what has been done about it....
Many thanks

Welcome ZRH!
This is the first time anyone here has posted about this phenomena. I know there is a recall on the level sensor for the new A8's (I haven't done it yet).
Is the car level when the car is turned on? Or is this only happening when the car or turned off?
Just curious, what's the last 5 digits of your VIN#? Plus, any photos?

Re: Welcome ZRH!
Last 5 are 07178. BTW where did you hear of the recall? No pics available but it is Atlas Grey with Amaretto/Black upgrade interior and synthetic suede headliner. First car I ever have bought off showroom floor. I would have specified tire pressure monitors but I am hearing that they are flakey and I didn't miss much.
The car leans 6-13 mm whenever stationary, engine on or not. Of course there is no way to check this when it is moving...Service manager says most of the last batch of A8L's received lean about same..And AoA says this is w/in specs

Further to my response to Plano-4.2..the service mgr says about 40% of the new A8L shipment list to port, 40% to starboard and 20% stay level when parked....Hmmmmm

Re: Does it matter if driver is sitting in the car. Is driver's side too low or passenger's side?
passenger side is too low. Doesn't seem to matter if driver sits in car..

Re: Quite impressive that this service manager can just whip out all those numbers and percentages.
I am consulting the web right now. he says he consulted AoA and had a computer love-in with their calibration experts....
