I finally broke down and bought a digital camera and thought I would post a pic of my xm radio install. In this location there was no drilling, cutting or other modifications involved. Just pop the ashtray out and pop out a little piece of plastic and there you have it. Best part is the ashtray cover still closes. If anyone is interested in installing it, I have a tip. splice into the antena after the amplifier. It is a very short piece of coax but if you do this you can still use the radio. If not the signal loss will too great and you can not use the radio only XM. I just had that problem correted on Monday.

Re: $9.95 per month. It rocks. Everyone I know who has it loves it.
Installed it was about $300 and then $9.95 per month. I got it because living in the sticks as I do I can only get one radio station and that one just does farm reports all day, some music but it is bad. Nice bonus is that I tend to travell a bunch, so now I don't have to change stations when I drive. I can drive from Detroit to L.A. and never have to find radio stations. For anyone that likes to listen to music other than main stream junk this is highly advised upgrade. For instance on Halloween they played the orginal broadcast of H.G. Wells war of the worlds. Other stations play live concerts of classical or opera. You have 101 stations to choose from we love it.

Hey doc, still like this setup?
I went to Best Buy this AM, and can get this Pioneer and a Terk antenna for about $150. I'm thinking about going back tonight and getting it, and doing the install tomorrow. Maybe it'll keep me from spending $800 on a Phatbox! ;-)
