18x8.5 ET32 BBS RXII's, shod with me OE SPSport9000s. Special thanks to Ron Woods (TwinCities) for finagling these from MN to CT. You're right Ron, scuffs aside they look fantabulous "on" the car. I cannot stop looking at it heh heh. I esp. like how they look like something Audi woulda put on (similar to 2.7t Sport BBS's, but 2 piece).
Shame I have 'some' ahem usable tread left on me old summers - these 8.5s are crying out for 255 meat, preferably 265 but doubting I'll find affordable ones. I'll cross that bridge this time next year I guess.
Until then, happy late apexing 8-).
ps. whilst up front I ganked the Ferodo's and pasted them up with some wheel bearing grease and - VOILA! Latent squeal *BEGONE*. Niiiiiiice... Now just need to remedy 3 yes THREE mulched upper/inner control arm bushings. I thought this is what was causing my slight 'wobble' but the BBSs are true'er than any wheel I've ever owned and the car's smooth now. My Avus's must be hoke'd.

Thanks Justin. Wash??? C'mon now you know better. Silver FTMFW - always looks killer 8-). Last...
...wash was like...
...November.
I think slush and sideways roosters and triple digit rain runs make a fine "wash" really.
YMMV, and hopefully will.

Dats schweet brah ! Good for at least 10 more ponies....
those Avus' must have weighed considerably more than the RX's.
By next week they'll look just right with the presto-change'o anthracite finish ; )

Heh you know me well, tho we'll see how badly the Ferodos dust up. Weight vs. weight...
...IIRC OE Avus 18s are 28lbs. Tire Crack lists the RXII's @ 24 per, so yeah I gained some snappiness sure.
Added bonus is gaining yet another mm of offset, now 32 - turn in is nice and sharp.
And while I reallllly want 255/265s, stretching the 245s over 8.5s also crisps up the sidewalls quite nicely. Took it for a midnight shakedown run to my local er Proving Ground and it clipped the roudned curbs with aplomb.
Beartrap, thanks for the thought - appreciated. Sorry didn't want to keep replying to every reply and be a thread hoor 8-). The silver car gets set off by the polished / silver wheels, and with the tint it does tie together quite nicely. I'm pleasantly pleased certainly.

Still staring at that machine. Silver is the best D2 colour - wish I had it.
Agree with mp re clear corners. And here's another suggestion that I know will not meet with the approval of just about everybody on the board, but I'll throw it out anyway: To complete that sleek, unified look from the side view (silver skin surrounding those tinted windows), paint the mirrors satin black.
Just a thought. Discard it if you will.
