Default a little more info

I was able to extract the 10 year old pinch bolt (which is usually a bitch) in about 1/2 hour with a C-clamp. The wrench is to turn the nut out to produce more pressure on the bolt. The socket gives the bolt room to move. I also crack the bolt free with the socket. Tapping (lightly) seems to persuade the bolt to move when the pressure is applied.
