Default I love Porsches - or - what'd you do today? (somewhere in here is Audi content?)

Being the P loving petrol head I am, I met up with my bro's colleague after work tonight - see he built this orange monster of an RSR clone my bro'd told me about and I had to see it.

We met up @ coventrymotorcar.com, site of //SFest2007 around dusk for some general all around finger bangin' fun. Met with Spacesuit Rossato and his 951 colleague Bys, my 951 IT guy @ werk Norm, and 930 longtime bud of mine - 'twas quite the corral to behold.

Oh my.

Obligatory //S-car content (ala gratuitous self gratification shot) - pardon the cruddy smell phone pix:

Manohman, does that thing simply make me quiver in me boots oy my. '73 911T with full RSR treatment, 3.0L, carb'd, twinplug, etc. Tee hee!

Dig the rest, esp. the monstrous flares hiding 17x9 fronts 17x12 rear custom Fuchs:

The scenery @ CMC doesn't exactly sucka dicka eithah:

That's gotta be like, what, a quadtillion horseposer, or sumptin'? Sigh... heh, least he's my good friend so yeah I get to whoop up on them ALL (yes, I do in fact suck huge hairy ***** - figuratively).

Anywho, a fine P car moment in this afficionado's life this evening. Just another wondrous day here in sunny CT it was...

Default That'll do quite nicely! I've loved hot 911's since they were....

356's! Yes it's sad, and I am that old. Great looking car, great color, and more over the top than a 2.7 RS clone. You are livin' the life - enjoy!

Default *totally*

Heh, thanks - tho - if it were *I* that were "living the life" it'd be <<<MINE>>> - sigh. Or at least finagled a drive 8-(.

Someday, right?

For now, yeah, sure, I do say Carpe Diem. Def. some fun to be had out there, always make it a point to find it!

Glad you enjoyed, Mark. It was heart wrenching... he'd finished it about 2 years ago, and on the WAY to meet us a huge chunk of debris bouncing on the highway bounced up off the pass rocker (slight dent), down the bottom of the pass door (slight dent / scuff), and SMACKED right into that purty glass rear flare - *cracked* a good hole right in it. Unreal. Poor guy. Que sera sera, he seemed to take it well. I'd had a coronary 8-(.

Default It's an '03 106k, very clean, extremely solid, a few cosmetic faux pas.

Tbelt, 4 brakes, 4 tires, all brand new.

I've not yet seen an '03 at this pricepoint, it's unreal: like sub $20k. Crazy.

Email me if you'd like further detail, I've fingerbang'd it extensively, it's very decent just not perfect. Wholelottacar for the dough, unreal.

Default Re: I love Porsches - and own some too

Love that car! The RS clone. I was at Mont Tremblant for drivers ed event a few years back and someone had a yellow clone....doing laps of course. I need to know how a non P-Car owner somehow keeps driving them. Why don't you just come out of the closet Pauley and buy one
