Default Which Tires for my 2000 A8L 18" wheels?

I need new tires for my 2000 A8L and I was wondering if anyone has had a particularily good time with any tires. I am mostly doing short trips around the san diego area so I do not really need all season tires.

I have the 18" optional wheels 245/45s and the disc looking wheels.

click on the link if you don't know what wheels I am talking about.<ul><li><a href="http://www.tirerack.com/a.jsp?a=AR4&url=%2Fwheels%2Fwheelrack%2Fcar_images %2FAudi%2FA8_L_01%2F0A8L.18.Cashmere.gif">http://www.tirerack.com/wheels/wheelrack/car_images/Audi/A8_L_01/0A8L.18.Cashmere.gif</a></li></ul>

Bridgestone S03s are pretty great.

are they quiet or really grippy? or both, the best of both worlds!

Quieter than P Zero Rossos, while being very grippy in dry/wet. On 4 Audis so far for me.

Default Extremely pleased with the S-03, but ...

.
never being 100% satisfied, for my next set I would also consider the

1. <A HREF="http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Pirelli&tireModel=PZero+System+ Direzionale&vehicleSearch=false&partnum=445YR80D"> PZero yellow asymmetrico</a> - Pirelli's ultimate performance tire (PaulW and others love these)

2. <A HREF="http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/high_perf/t1s.html">Toyo T1-S</a> - successful in the SpeedVision World Challenge and April's favorite

3. <A HREF="http://www.stamfordtyres.com.sg/newweb/tyreview_grb451.htm">Falken 451</a> - which has been recommended over the S-03 by some Europeans

then again, maybe I'll just get another set of the S-03's. My only "complaint" is that tread temperatures hit 240 oF on the track, and at that point, the tires are a bit greasy. I'll cross the bridge next Summer.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/a8/msgs/5405.phtml">Bridgestone S-03 vs Dunlop SP8000</a></li></ul>
