Hello, A newbie here, looking for some guidance. I purchased 2020 A8L last year and the previous owner had PRIME, which expired in Feb 2024. I was looking at the options, and currently saw Audi Connect Plus for $200 per year with unlimited Wifi Hotspot. But when I tried to purchase it, I am required to purchase Prime first which is even expensive than PLUS. Btw I do not see any option under Marketplace in Myaudi app. Kindly if anyone can guide if this is how it works, I need to purchase both plans to make it work.
Secondly, I tried to purchase Att in car wifi, but when I put in my VIN, it says "Your car isn't wifi ready', so does that mean I need to purchase one of the audi connect subscriptions first ?

But i was also thinking about other features we get from getting a PLUS subscription which probably will not be there with an external hotspot.
You have to get connect first. I usually keep that subscription and get the monthly Wifi subscription for times when I travel cross country with kids and their iPads. In some areas the car's internet speed is better than my iPhone, presumably due to the larger car antennas. The option to get wifi will appear once you get the base subscription.
the base subscription is worth it IMO for basic google map functionality including sending destinations to your car from your phone.

By 'Connect' and 'base subscription' I am assuming you mean 'Audi connect PRIME' ?
It is giving 2 purchase options for prime for my A8 6 months for $199 and 18 months for $499. And then the wifi PLUS is $200 for 12 months which the Audi rep told me you can have it even while your PRIME subscription expires.

Yes. As per your screenshot, the base subscription is Connect prime.
Maybe you should the ask the Audi rep how to do something that your screenshot clearly states you can’t.
