Yes. Its a 2022. I have trigeminal neuropathy which makes me particularly sensitive to ride quality. My face is like a tuning fork. My sister didn't think there was much difference.

I think the seats in the A8 are better too.

I think the seats are the same in S8 as in the A8l if we're talking about the 22-way massage seats, optional in A8l standard in S8.

Pull the trigger the 23/24 model is awesome I think it rides so much better in city/suburban town driving, much more planted than my 2020 S8 especially over potholes, feels much lighter doesn't feel like the suspension is going to blow out when one takes you by surprise. I killed 3 front right tires last year over a 6-month span, wheels were fine.
I had a 2021 S8 and now have a 2024 S8 as of 11/16. I completely agree with Tom C's above observations. Not sure about the 2023 S8 but, in the 2024 S8, the rear center armrest no longer has the removable tablet....it's been replaced with a fixed screen that has all of the same functions as the tablet had. Audi had too many issues with the tablet's connectivity to the MMI system so they moved to the fixed screen setup.

The 2021 S8 had PDA (Predictive Active Suspension) as standard equipment but is an option on the 2024 S8 (mine has it). PDA is no longer available as an option for the A8L in the U.S.

I did lose the laser high-beam headlights in the 2021 version but gained the digital matrix lights in the 2024---and am seriously considering activating them after I discuss with my local Audi technician.

A fixed rear centre armrest tablet is a feature of face lifting (2021/2022?).

It was still a removable "tablet" for MY 2021. Not sure which year it became a fixed screen as I can't recall anyone having mentioned it before in any D5 thread....but I may be mistaken. Given the many previous issues with the tablet, I wasn't very surprised by the change.

Likely different tuning on air suspension. Also, greater weight on the D5 likely warrants more forgiving damping.

Did you have a face lift version of the car?

Per my Audi tech today, MY 2022 was the first year where U.S. D5's were equipped with the fixed screen in the rear armrest.
