Thought it might be helpful to answer in one thread, will cross post link to those above.
On lack of acceleration/hesitation:
TSB 2033046/1
Due to old TCM software 1001. Update via TSB 2033046/1 for hesitation when accelerating.
On MMI/Phone issues:
k0175 update
TSB 2030465/6 software update for MMI, performed twice. SVM action code completed.
(also note from Audi telling me one Blackberry not compatible, iPhone ok). This is BS - not only have I paired my old BB to the Audi, I've streamed music and used it for calls for two years, no issue.
On Whoop Noise THEY ADMIT IT
TSB 2033344/1 Customer has provided description of the noise and also another description provided online by another Audi owner (thank you AudiWorld).....The noise explained in Audi TSB 2033344/1 and the customer should be educated on the operation. There is no repair needed for this vehicle. (bold by me)
This last one floors me. There is a printout from the dealer describing what we've read here for months - suspension system fluid air bubbles. I call BS. The car was silent for a year, then started this business 6 months ago.
We can only HOPE these Audi Engineers find a way to resolve this last one, but I'll report back on the other two should this not resolve.
Thanks for all the input here.

SO did it really eliminate the hesitation on the 2012 Audi A8L when taking off? We have a 2012 and sometimes theres a big lag.

Too soon to know. The hesitation was only brief, and only happened twice in two weeks.
Drove the car 12 miles yesterday after service, but not enough to know there was any resolution yet (though no hesitation during that brief run).
Will report back after a couple weeks of driving to see what happens.
