2011 A8L with the base 255/45/R19 . first here in Canada by Dec 1 we must remove our summer / 4 season tires and install the winter ones till April
so in 2018 I get cooper CS5 tires 4 season for 900$ ( when you pay cheap in the end they are expensive )
anyway this week I install the winters ( 4 years old TOYO ice, amazing tire , still like new ) and I see the cooper are finish!!!!!
maybe I drove 10,000 miles in 4 years ( and half the time its the winter on ) I just don't drive much in the summer. ( cycle to work )
and I have a 993 that I put 200 miles this summer. don't know why I bought cooper. maybe it was mark American company made in the U.S.A
they where all over at tires stores ( I found out Goodyear bought cooper last year for 2.5 billion) garbage of a tire, I am sure its made in china and not in U.S.A
I have time to find new tires , but the cost went up big time. continental start at 400$ a tire ( Canada ) and this is for the 19. sure 20.21 are more $$
lesson learned the hard way , don't go cheap , it will be expensive.

Goodyear sucks, Cooper is okay at best. Pirelli aint waht it used to be. Conti and Michelin are my only go to tires and specifically the Michelin PS4s. I pulled the 265/35/21 Conte Extremes off the Audi and went Tesla spec 296/30/21s and the car hooks like crazy, corners better, rides better and is quieter. Granted they were $2700. On my 600hp Denali I yanked the Cintis when Michelin made an SUV PS4 and now that truck hooks HARD. I can get it all the way up on its 3800 stall and if its dry and concrete it barks 1st, 2nd and 3rd where as it used to just haxze them till 4th then bog. Love PS4s. They make them in any flavor too. You want them to last, buy the AMG speck, want ultimate grip order Tesla spec, wanna save money get the standards but unless you have a mid/rear engine car never order the Porsche spec lol

I just installed the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 with the acoustic foam...WOW. Great ride quality and super low noise. They don't seem to have the same high speed stability, but I am probably due for an alignment.

AS4 is a good tire but its an all season and all all season tires will never be as stable as a Summer only tire. Alas I am lucky and live where it snows one day every 4 years and that pretty much shuts the state down so on both of my daily drivers I have Michelin PS4s. Id have them on the Mini if they made them that small and I would have them on the 4Runner if the dude hadnt JUST installed new Dunlops when i bought it like a year ago....... oh crap, I dont think I have changed its title over! Darnut!
