I agree. You can bend over backwards and do your utmost to satisfy a reasonable customer, but you cannot satisfy a fool or an idiot.
The problem is identifying the reasonable customers reliably. I can be very reasonable, but that "cannot reproduce" excuse is overused.

The advisor said Audi has issued a TSB stating that it is normal and goes away after a while. He said all the bushings were fine per the mechanic's visual inspection and he would attach a copy of the TSB to my RO. I will post a copy of the TSB once I get the car back. Wonder why this noise started to appear at this mileage level and not before....Is Audi listening?
Here is the TSB, and my car is still making noises regardless of how long it has run. I will be addressing the issue with the dealer again. Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Interesting, I have the same issue on my 07 A8L with 36k miles....only in the morning, after the car sat over night. I have been hearing the sound for the past 10kish miles.

Your D3 is a bushing issue, whereas the D4 is mostly an oil damper issue.
They both go away after a little bit of driving.
