Real World MPG

48 mpg (UK) = 40 mpg (US) ... but then that's the 4.2 diesel and remapped. The manual says on the highway it should get 46.3 mpg (US 38.5 mpg).
I can't complain.
I hope the petrol lives up to the 32 mpg US

I have 2,200 miles - mostly city, nothing on the freeway longer than 15/20 mins - @80mph, etc. I am a poor candidate for any kind of mpg survey as I really enjoy 'S' mode around town. The new shifter is very comfortable and ergonomically right at rest with just a short/quick rearwards flick between S and D (no need for thumb lock). I am guessing my car will be in the test average of mid teens city/low 20s highway. I am getting my (relatively) cheap thrills now before 5$/gal in the next 18 months.

I get no more than 22 mpg with about 70% freeway drivng in the Los Angeles area. As you know the LA freeways are not that free of traffic....
I noticed that if I drive only in the city I get no more than 17-18.

economy
Simply ridiculous economy figures in my opinion, but hey, I'll take them every single day. 52.6 mpg is almost 44mpg (US), and I should easily get 700 miles out of a full tank of oil... oops, diesel.
Even my dealer is shocked.
I'm sure I can get it down to about 25mpg if I try really really hard.
