Yep, I have had my car for just over 18 months and purchased the cheapest ones on eBay. Just like you mentioned, the drivers door light faded away. Not totally gone, just significantly faded...especially when compared to the back door lights.

So I purchsed these about two months ago and so far, so good. The description claims to be 8x brighter with no fading...lol, all for $15!

I like those wheels. My father-in-law put those on his TDI in trade for the normal 20”. They are also the same design for the W12 ‘specific’ 19” wheels. I could never figure out why they were supposed to be special for the W12 when I have seen them on standard A8s... turns out the lip is polished. Looks gorgeous. I’ve been look for a set of the W12 version in the US ever since I saw the normal version on his.

thank you. that’s interesting about the W12 specific 19s. I did not care for these wheels at first - too many spokes to clean, but they have grown on me. I will upgrade for the S8 wheels if I come across them. I prefer OEM

I want to take some pictures in the mountains of it, but I also want to do a chrome delete, and install a Maxton front splitter to add a bit to the stance.
Until then, here is the whip.

I did, this is post open hot V surgery. I didn't have it long enough to really get a gauge of it, but so far I'm totally blown away with everything I interact with or try (driving wise). ...so fun, def glad I made a case for this as our family car.

Fantastic- now go find an abandoned section of road and open her up. First time I did that after buying it, it made me and the wife dizzy- and I didn't even lean that hard, just a quick jaunt to triple digits. No time at all.
