So, my car is missing one of the plastic under body jack point. Specifically, the part I'm referencing here is 4H0 802 845 B

Anyway, i bought a replacement and put the part in place but the fit is very loose. The under body panel where the plastic jack point goes into looks straight and doesn't look to be damaged in anyway. By design, it appears that a catch on the plastic jack point goes into the circular hole cut out in the under body panel.

My question is, has anybody had similar experience replacing the part? If so, any adhesive like silicone adhesive used?

Yes, and yes. I used black RTV silicone adhesive.

I feel assured now going ahead and applying some silicone adhesive to keep the part in place.
