Need some help with suspension issue 🤷♂️
Good day
maybe someone had a sillier problem like mine
2011 L 4.20 75k miles
when I drive over a certain speed ( over 50 ) I get 2 warning on the dash. air suspension malfunction fallowed by headlight range control malfunction.
the car will drive normally but with stiff suspension ( but still no problem driving )
however when re start the car , codes are gone and suspension is perfect , till I go over 50
so far I did replace with 4 new suspension sensors but problem not fix yet.
my mechanic ( who is very good ) is trying to see what is the issue. he did calibrate the new sensors.
he also has all the new scanning computers for the A8
to save some time , did any one had a issue like this ?
thanks in advance.

Three things:
1. There is ton of post about this.
2. Try and raise the vehicle using the console.
3. If you can or can not raise it, either way, let it sit and see if any one corner drops..
most likely a hole in air bag.

good news update on sensors and 2 more issues.
Got back the car , all ok now with the sensors. I think its a classic " lost in translation "
the issue was with the calibration and programing the new sensors. my mechanic said
because I got generic parts (80$ per sensor ) , the calibration and programing took a long time. ( all 4 had to be programed )
I had 2 more issues with car , check engine will come every month, very small evap leak
they say try new gas cup, but went with a new parge valve ( 40$) and so far all good.
last issue , very small oil leak ( 4.2 ) need to live with it . she is 12 years old , only 75,000 miles
but not going to remove engine to replace gaskets. labour alone will be like car value.
on my pervious D3 , I had many issues but not oil leaks. I am annoyed but nothing to do.
car does drive and looks like new. if oil leaks becomes big , will need to replace car.

Since the value is low, and you are resigned to the problem, you could possibly try a sealing formulation. I know this will draw plenty of ire, but it's worth considering. I'd just sneak up on it, using just a small amount each week until you see some results (or until it ruins the engine ).

I had pretty good luck with this approach half a hundred years ago, when cars were simple and cheap, but it's a last gasp effort and ymmv.
