Why spend a bunch of money on it, then sell it in great condition? Now is the time to enjoy it. Drive it until next time it needs $$$, then see what you can get for it - it could be years.

Suspension as a consumable, come on. Only on Mercedes and Audi does that seem to be the case! Tens of thousands of miles with Lexus, BMW, Fords and two Acura cars and never as much as a suspension lubrication requirement.
I know, I know, we could argue all day about it but it is also the age of my car and the fact that its value has dropped over $15k in the last year. It is a COMBINATION of things that is making me consider moving to another vehicle, NOT just that fact that I need new suspension parts today. After all, in the last three months I have spent almost $1,600 to replace my brake pads and another $800 for spark plugs and coil packs.
Like a wife, it may be "cheaper to keep her" but that doesn't stop someone from considering the alternatives, LOL.

Spark plugs are a 30 min DIY job on the 4.0 btw, it's a stupid easy task that shops overcharge for

Wonder why auto enthusiast forums are sausage-fests? It's not just because of comments like this; it's because comments like this go unchallenged.

Notice the LOL after my statement? That means it was a joke, but I appreciate you letting me know that I can't "keep" someone. That will be very beneficial to me in the future...LOL.
Do you really think women don't contribute/read car forums because of comments like mine?

C'mon, it's a fifty year old song. The phase is meant humorously, not misogynistically.

And fwiw, I always interpreted that as in "to remain in her presence", "want to stay with her", etc.... not as in ownership.

And if we don't actively call it out, we're in silent enablement.
