Different strokes for different folks. But I definitely err on the side of something tangible. That and design are very, very important to me. Carplay and android auto are cardinal sins, the UX is god awful with childish colors, shapes and fonts. It would seem that the most luxurious brands agree as Bentley and Rolls are adamant that their screens be able to be folded away as well as be controlled with physical buttons and Bugatti very vocally stated that screens are passé and didn’t want them in their cars. I regularly fold my MMI screen and turn off the DIS while driving
The choices for touch screen and being inundated with cartoonish displays is plentiful, please let the market shift and give us more serene options
(the NHTSA may be helping us here as they announced they’re going to start penalizing cars in safety score that rely too much on touch screen)
