Hello All,
I did a quick search but didn't get a clear answer. I just took delivery this morning on my 2013 Audi A8L 4.0t. The dealer listed it having the Heads Up Display as well as the B&O. Unfortunately, it came with neither. Was the HUD even available in 2013?

I think it is only facelift/2015's forward (for North America) with HUD--per 2015 Product Information Book. B&O can be spotted in most any ad with pictures of the actual car--look for metal grills in door panels.

Definitely not available in the 2013 model year D4 in the USA. 2015 was the first model year D4 with the HUD in the US.

I called the dealership and explained that the Ebay listing listed B&O, the Heads up display and double pained glass. None of which was in the vehicle. They just tried to chalking up the the person who listed it must have just copied and pasted a generic listing of what may be available. Do I have a leg to stand on? I am still happy with the vehicle and still wish to keep it.

If you bought it through eBay, I would think you have a case for "item not as described", unless the eBay rules are different for cars. If you like the car, and the dealership values its positive feedback on eBay, then maybe you could work something out financially to reimburse you for some missing options. It's their responsibility to list the item properly.

I would say you are certainly entitled to something, being a long distance buyer, the onus is on them to be honest. I don't buy the generic copy/paste error, even if it was an honest mistake, they still sold it with plainly false advertising. Even if you're not that concerned with omissions, tell them you are, because the lack of B&O is really a huge deal. That's a $6000 option they said it had, that matters. If they or Ebay don't want to do much, contact AOA if it was an Audi dealer or the BBB. I'm angry as hell, and it's not even my car! Positively shameful.

you can tell on the newer facelifted versions, if they don't have it, there's an indent in the dash for where it would go...

They agreed to send me $1000. I guess it's something. Still love the car and the Bose sounds good enough.

Glad they've done something. Still not enough in my eyes, but if you're satisfied, then it'll do. Bose is still very nice in these cars, the B&O isn't worth a lot to most.
