Default How to change rear height sensor?

Hello today i gone to repair shop for replace rear left height sensor, they look and say it's very hard to replace we need to disassemble all fuel tank etc. And they didn't want to replace. İs it really hard or they didn't know how to replace.

İs there any replacement documentation or video do you have? Thanks

Had the same issue with my 2011 A8L 4.2
I remember my mechanic had to cut through a metal to access the sensor.
he also did not want to remove the fuel tank.
good luck

I recently removed all my height sensors while troubleshooting a suspension issue. The rear are worse than the front, but maybe a 15 minute job for each rear, and a 5 minute job for each front. I used a balled allen (Hex) on a 1/4 socket. It is tucked in there, but not too bad. I might have a different setup, A8L 2012.

I found the workshop documantation, but it explained very superficially.

Default Looks the Same

From the attachment it looks the same as what I have. Wasn't that bad to remove.

Default 5mm Tool

5mm Tool

The job is not bad at all. However, it is recommended to do a suspension level calibration after you change or replace anything on the suspension. That is not bad either, but you need the software.

Goodluck!

One last thing. raising the suspension on the MMI before you start will give you more clearance.
