Hi all, I noticed just recently that my Nav screen no longer projects the Google earth satellite view. Despite not having Audi Connect for more than 6 years the Sat view still came up as recently as a month ago on my '15 car. Any ideas? Maybe Audi stopped supporting it ?

Yepper, there are quite a few posts on this. Audi stopped supporting this a while back. I went with the WAKAA carplay option to replace it.

I got mine working again a few days ago with this guy's script.
I don't know what Audi/Google are playing at but it is clearly not primarily a technical reason as it works just as before after the application of a 45Kb shell script.

Solved that issue by installing WAKAA apple carplay which also has Waze.

I am not seeing an option for the A8L/S8 on the Wakaa website. What is the model number?

How does it work? Are you happy with it?

Love it, money well spent.
Once you have it, you will never not drive a car without it.
Its all your apps on the phone and I love the graphic equalizer it comes with for my music.

I agree. Even if Google Earth was active again I'd stay with the WAKAA unit. BTW, it has also saved me quite a sum of money. Since installing it, I dropped my SIM card subscription ($10/month if I recall correctly) and cancelled my XM service that was linked to my car ($160/year). I now use the XM app on my iPhone that is linked to my wife's BMW subscription.
