I currently have a 2013 A7, which I love. The lease is up in the next 6 months, and I'm trying to decide what I want to get next.

I'm leaning towards an S7, but I've also been a fan of the S8.

I can't quite afford a new S8, so I was thinking of a preowned 2013 or 2014 S8.

My only concern is the trunk size, especially considering the cargo space an A7/S7 offers.

For those of you with a 2013 or 2014 A8/S8, do you feel that the space on your car simply isn't adequate?

Have a 2011 which has same trunk dimensions as 2013/2014. It's adequate for my needs, but I don't haul golf bags, etc. Yes, the trunk could/should have been made deeper, which has been to some extent revised for 2015---but more of a "slight of hand" revision that adds some depth at the lower trunk deck level, but does not extend up the full rear panel.

Got '14 S8. Fantastic car, even more fantastic after APR tune, turning into a true sleeper beast.
I don't play golf and I don't transport dead bodies (mobster style, lol). The trunk being on a smallish side, comparatively, was never too small for my needs.
Get the S8.

I also do not find the trunk in my '14 S8 too small, but I'm also not a golfer. Fantastic car.

trunk space is one of my very few complaints about this car. but it is adequate for 95% of what i need.

I have a 2013 A8L. I came from two D3s. I find the trunk in the D4, while not as deep as the D3, to be more useful. In the D3, the wells behind the wheels were both covered and unusable. In the D4, they are both open with retractable nets to hold cargo out/in. Where I had to remove my driver to fit my golf clubs in the D3 diagonally, I can fit my bag straight across in the D4 just fine because the heads of the clubs can go in the well. I haven't tried two bags, but I imagine they would fit just fine. I don't think two giant staff bags would fit, but two regular size bags would.

As far as luggage, I haven't really tried a lot of luggage. I tend to take shorter trips in the car and if it's more than just my wife and me or we are going to the airport for a long trip, we take her SUV.

I expect that 4 people could get their bags in the D4 without problem as long as they weren't huge.
