2013'S About to Roll In
So I am thinking about getting a White NWB. The LWB is just too big of a car for me. my dealer said yesterday that they are prepping for 2013 and I could not order a 2012. I was hoping to find a white 2012 NWB elsewhere nationally but I havent located one. By the looks of things, it seems like 90% (PERHAPS MORE) of the A8'S are LWB so its difficult to find an NWB with the options I want. With such low NWB Production numbers, looks like I may need to order it if I want my specifc options. I really still prefer to get a 2011 pre-owned though, or atleast a 2012 that hasnt moved yet - that would be a cost savings. But I am putting some thought into it
I spoke wih Flagship this evening and this is what they told me
so far about the 2013's
V6 FI engine with 333 hp will be available (It may be the same as my S4 or perhaps a V6 turbo, I dont know)
Climate control will now be packaged with rear side sunshades as a warm weather pkg (cant get them separately)
Brown walnut Inlays will be the standard with Velvet beige (This is a good thing for me!)
No more IBIS white (It was discontinued back in Oct 2011) I actually prefer IBIS over GLACIER
Aside from knowing there will also be a TDI OPTION and ofcourse the S8 later this year, thats all I have so far

Try cars.com
I was very frustrated trying to find a new A8 with the options I am interested in. The AudiUSA.com website is not much help for finding a particular set of options. Just punch in a8 on cars.com and start limiting your selections and you will soon get to the cars you are interested in. Good luck getting meaningful responses from the dealers, though.

I use cars.com but I have found that autotrader.com generates many many more hits.

sorry, I was wrong. Its available only in an S8 which will be a ton more of cash. But dont feel bad. I think I am just as disappointed as you may be. Here I have an 2011 S4 and AUDI A8 is getting the same exact engine? I am looking to see the specs of the V6 TDI which I hear AUDI will be offering as a 2cnd engine option

It's a supercharged V6 engine with 333 horsepower and 325 lb-ft of torque.

One local dealer sent me an email this week highlighting $10,000 off 2012 A8's in stock. The dealer is not a high volume shop and has 7 2012 A8's in stock as well as a half dozen A7's. Alas, none are NWB White though.

MY2013 will have ceramic brakes as an option, around £8000 though. Don't know if that will just be for europe.
The guide will go out to dealers "very shortly" I hear - but no actual date given.
Over at the german site, the configurator already shows the cermaics as an option.
