We had quite heavy rain over night and in the morning I was surprised with water in the car. While water was dropping from blue area of the photo it seems that most wet area is marked in red. Did anyone had same issue? I feel that area of sunroof is relatively dry so I am worried that it is coming from windshield? I Hage the feeling that there was some wind noise inside the car recently which I couldnt locate. I saw vide on YouTube has 11k views with same problem so maybe someone has good idea what is happening.

Had same problem with my D3. it was the sunroof drains. they get clogged
Now with my D4 ( also 2011) when I bring it for oil change I make sure they
clean the drains. never happed again . ( over 8 years )
99% its the clogged drains in your A8.

Windshield top seal. Dry it out and I used gasket sealer. You could tape it off as a confirmation test.

I first did a big decal over the sunroof, and it still leaked like a sieve. Which put me onto the windscreen and that solved my problem
Just got back in the A8 after the new J519 module $2400 CAD to replace. Seems to have had a software update. The speedo and tach do a cool light show/scroll never did that before?

Steady drip/stream on my 13 S8 when raining in same location. You could push the glass away from the frame with pretty light pressure. I taped off the glass edge and the roof and then filled the 1/8” wide and about 3/16” deep gap (between glass and roof) with “Permatex 81730 Flowable Silicone Windshield and Glass Sealer, 1.5 oz”
No more issues.
There was some whistling air noise at highway speed before which is also gone now.
