Default Who has the most mileage on their D3 A8?

I have 105k miles on my 2006 Audi A8L. So far no major problems. Small one like a lightbulb replacement, trunk door malfunctioning, transmission hooting all solved with the TSB at 90k miles. I am very happy.

I was also very curious on how long people got their A8 to last before major repairs ahd to be done. I'm only at 65k.

We're at 75K and lots of small things seem to be going wrong.

Default 110k mi

Its been relatively problem free. I had the timing belt service $1800 and brakes done $1000
Coil pack $225. Still runs strong, all electrics and every option working. In fact, it is faster than when I first bought it.

2004 A8L just hit 120,500 miles. Runs strong, love it! BUT trunk not closing right again (Audi replaced hinges once already), 2 lower door moldings bulging due to rust of internal steel bars(audi won't fix under corrioson warranty), front suspension bushings squeaking and worn so control arms need replacing, replaced right front wheel bearing(100k -$350.00) but left now making noise so its time to replace it, air suspension pump sometimes gives fault and doesn't pump -(new pump soon and told $1000 cost), Air Conditioning pump failed at 105,000 - $1600.00, Drivers door storage compartment broke - flops open and close now, intermittent problem with motor mount causes check engin fault, Thermostat stuck so cam belt water pump service early at 80,000, and transmission pan gasket started leaking at 85,000 gasket and fluid $300.00. Just got audi notice, spark plug coil recall, paid to replace one already and needs brakes again.
I will keep at least to 150K then want another used 2007+ A8L.

116,000 miles on my '04. I expect to get 300,000 out of it. At about 70,000 the WABCO electric air compressor for the air suspension went bad. That's the only major item so far. One headlight bulb turned pink a few months ago so I replaced it. The other one will soon go bad as well.

Default Runs Great

Bought a CPO 04 and now have 87K miles. Had the bushings and 1 wheel bearing replaced under warranty and 1 door bottom bulges (not fixed yet). MMI screen needed a new suspension awhile back. Other than that it has been fantastic.

I have 165K on my 2004 A8L. Looks like I'm the lucky (or unlucky) winner! Car runs like a champ, still haven't replaced the timing belt (knock on wood). some minor flaws, but nothing major. Anyone else have me beat?

I'm with you -- Going for 300k. I got to 289k on my 200 Quattro when a vacuum hose broke and stranded my wife in the middle of the Dan Ryan expressway in Chicago. It was only a $50 repair, but scared her to the point she made me get rid of it. I'm at 90k on my '04 right now.
