]Hi guys i was looking in to buying a set of concept one rs22 rims for my A8L its a black on saddle 2006 . The rims are 20'' in size or should i go with a set of 22'' vosssen cv1 .

I like the look of the Vossen better, but in a smaller size.

Like many things in life, wheels are a very personal decision - so go with what you like best.

I agree with the vossen, I prefer simple over all the complicated spokes on the other ones.

Vossen CV1's would be my choice. I've had a few cars on 22's loved the look but hated having to worry about every nook and cranny in the road. Since purchasing my A8, I've realize that I enjoy the ride more with more tire protection from the road. If I ever decide to change wheels I'll stick with 20's. It's all personal preference, good luck which ever way you decide.

Vossens look nice, concepts look like they could take a pothole hit and not suffer any damage. Research your choice to see if the rims are forged or cast also. Cast rims are of course softer and more susceptible to bends and flat spots. 22's might be a bit extreme depending on what kind of roads you will be driving upon.

as far as style of wheels go and everyone has different tastes it seems. But the aesthetic of scale is not a personal taste, it is a matter of the mathematics of proportion.

22s are too large for our A8s unless diminishing the lines/style of your car is the goal. Rolls Phantom Extended Wheel Base model,,,a car a couple feet longer than an A8L and a foot taller only comes with 21s. That might be in part to leave room for enough sidewall to have a proper Rolls ride quality so a 22" wheel might still look in scale on that car. But again that is a MUCH larger vehicle.

And if the A8 is lowered with 22s on the car the arc of the wheel comes into conflict with the arc of the wheel well, and then a total mess is created. Forget the 22s IMNSHO.
