Default What do you use for a Phone Mount in your Car?

I never had one in any of my cars, then I put one in a mini van I bought to bring to Florida, it is awesome! Got a Proclip mount for the vent and put the Scocche magnetic mount on it, just have the thin magnet on the back of my phone.

I have since added a mount to my 996 and did a wireless charger magnetic mount in my wife's Q5.

I don't really see anything that I love for the S8.....what do you have that is magnetic out there?

I use a wireless charger stuck in the ashtray. Originally for clip to air vent but the spring loaded button allows it to stay in the ashtray with some tension.

Kenu in vent to left of MMI. Then wrap cord power cord from ashtray just above the heater controls so cord is mostly hidden. Works well for me.

What holds the phone on the wireless? I just got a new phone. My old one had a wireless which sat on a counter. It works for my new phone. It sat on the counter and you just set the phone on it at an angle. I asked at verizon if they had something llike that for the car. The only thing was pretty much like yours. If I go around a corner (even slow) or hit a bump, it won't stay on it. I now have it in the drink holder but i have to keep repositioning it to hear the beep to know it's charging.

The problem with my old phone was it used a one-side-up charge cord. Plugging it in while driving (yeah, almost as bad as texting and driving) cause me to screw up the connector. The new phone has a different (either side up) port but still would require eyeballing it to get it in. Ideally, there'd be a wireless charger that held onto the phone so it didn't slip off.

Scott, Just looked at your picture again. Love the screen image. MAGA!. BTW, I've seen your **** car avatar or whatever you call the image on many posts. I owned a 1953 Mercedes Benze many years ago. Looked very much like it. Of course, it didn't have the truck chassis. dual tires, nor was it a convertible so Herman Goering wouldn't have been able to stand in it.

The hood, grille, running boards and suicide door were the same. It was cool and worth the $35 bucks I paid for it when i was 17. Wish I still had it, but

I have a Moto z, and use the Moto z car dock. Magnetic, fast charge, and 3.5 mm Audio built in. Wish all phones had connectors like this.

If you press and hold the passenger AC rotary button it will become the master controller for both sides. 😀😀😀
