The wheels in the first shot are pretty awful.

Personally, I prefer the stock wheels. Of course, one of the things I like about the A8 is that it's got an understated elegance, something rims as eye catching as that take away from, at least in my eyes. Not everyone shares my taste, however, and I'm sure many will like those ones.

Thanks for your input. I'm almost there on pulling the trigger on a set of wheels and I can choose my offset. The wheels will have a lip so I can use yours wheels a gauge.

As you're asking for opinions, to my eyes the OEM rims look better. They suit the clean elegant and understated lines of the body shell better. Those rims you have whilst good looking in isolation don't compliment the design of the car. They're too busy and fussy.

For me at least, rarely do aftermarket rims look better than the OEM options. After all they were designed by the original designer to work with the car. Not many Joe Shmoe's have that talent as is witnessed every day out on the roads.

I am normally an OEM wheels guy. Those OEM wheels that you removed are (in my opinion) one of the worst designs. You improved your car by going to a different wheels.

How is the ride with the new wheels on?

Since solicited opinions, I'm not a fan of those particular OEM wheels, but unfortunately those aftermarket ones are no better. There are so many nice looks that you could have gone with.
