Whether or not it makes a sound and the type of sound will depend on how it failed; open/closed. If the valve is sticking but not 100% failed it will sound like a clarinet (the video above). You can block the valve opening with your finger and you'll feel and hear if the valve is open/working properly.

Where do you all order your parts online? OEM parts that is.

I order mine from the dealer, found here. They always seem to have the cheapest price on genuine OEM parts. Sometimes I have a hard time finding the part if it's technical name is not the same as the colloquial one. You may have to call your dealer for the part number, look it up on the site, and order it then.
