urgent help please Dead battery cannot access trunk

I'm not completely positive but I do believe all of the Audi's have a keyhole for an actual key on the trunk lid, "as pictured above" and the drivers door, so Access to the vehicle should be somewhat simple. Of course all of this info is in the Owners manual, but as car people, we are required to try and figure it out on our own, before giving in to the all mighty manual. Plus it is far more fun to figure it out with the help of all of the great people on this forum, not much we can't figure out if we all work on it.

I bought as second set of manuals and leather folder for the current A8 to keep at my desk.
Wish I'd done the same with the D3.
