I'm going to de-chrome my car and have the trim color matched. I want to pull the pieces off to do it correctly. Is there a write up anywhere on how to remove properly?

I had my rear bumper replaced, and did all the striping myself, and to get the beading out without damaging it (I did not want to prise the plastic bead out from the front risking brakeage), I had to push the plastic clips out from the back, which involved striping the whole bumper, and the stiffeners from the back of it, so as to get the beading off, and reach the screws witch hold the chromed bead from the FRONT (behind the plastic bead)!!!!
lot's of work, but I had to use my old chrome beading as it was in a better condition than the one on the second hand bumper.
I'm putting it all tougher, tomorrow, so I will post pictures.
