Hello. My 2004 A8 (58K) has bad upper control arm bushings (both sides). Dealer wants to replace entire arms. Supposedly, there is an issue with pressing them into place.(?) Warranty co wants to pay for bushings only. Is dealer full of it, or should the entire arms be replaced? Thanks.

Same diagnosis from dealer on my '04. They want $2K. I laughed.

Common audi problem and yes everyone says can't just change bushing. Bushing crack and then start to squeek. Not dangerous until get really bad which will take quiet a while. (10,000's of miles) Spray silicone spray on them to minimumize squeeking.
