I just replaced tires about a month ago. I have 20" wheels and went with the new Michelin all season tires. Really happy with them, they are smooth and quiet with really good dry grip for an all season tire. I have read from reviews that they are not good in the snow but I will likely never see snow. They do have great grip in the rain.

I don't have experience with the Coopers.

Default That's where I would (and will) go on the price premium side. For the cheaper...

Yes, I too plan on the latest Michelin AS's. But if I was on more of a budget, probably decent ones in the mid $200 range. Looks like OP is also looking at an A/S with decent wear specs, avoiding the shorter wear with performance summers that can also show up in the mid $200 range.

Do you mean the ZeonRS3A? I have those on my A8....Great tires. They are quiet provide excellent traction in the wet weather and great traction snow. Also I got a good deal on them and it came with a $70 rebate. Definitely recommended.

I just put new tires on the S8 yesterday....275/35/20's....Falken Azenis PT-722

http://www.discounttiredirect.com/di...5&rd=20&cs=275

Discounttiredirect.com had a sale on ebay two weeks ago, $100 off, I got four of them from the local discount tire, mounting, balancing, disposal, tax and road hazard (replace the tire for something like 3 years after purchase) for $920....that was a deal! I know the manager (audi guy) and he matches any deal.

Obviously they are only a day old....but man is the car smooth again on 20" wheels. My old summer performance tires were only 15K miles old....but were shot. Never again. Just need A/S's for this car, plus I run snows in the winter.
