Default Need help replacing voice command module

My friend has a D3 Audi A8 as i do and she informed me that her voice command module needs replaced. She has purchased a new one from the dealer but thought the charge for labor was a bit much.

does anyone know of a thread on replacing the voice command module or what is involed in the process.

any help would be gladly appreciated.

Thanks

Replacing Speech (Voice Command) Module is very easy. It is plugged in the Radio Module on the left side of the trunk, behind the trim. You have to unscrew the Radio Module in order to be able to unplug Voice Module. Open that black cover (picture), pull it out and plug in the new one. Speech Module is protected by Component Protection, but as you have new one it should not be a problem. In case that you get "canceled" on any attempt to use it, it is Component Protection and it has to be removed by a dealer.
