So I replaced the parking brake motor
hooked up a battery charger, and ran the parking brake motors through a test. Cleared the codes, and all seemed well until the "battery management" message started flashing on the dash. The car is completely dead. I can't even get the key out of the ignition, or the trunk open. How do I get the trunk open?

If you have an extra key, use it in the mechanical trunk lock. Or, pop out the black plastic thingy on the ignition switch and press the button below with a paper clip to release the key.

Remove a little cover on the left side of your steering lock, just next to your key and use paperclip, or similar, to release your key. Than use your key to unlock your trunk. Keyhole is next to your right plate light.
Your charger is not strong enough to power parking brake motors and everything else that runs so you drained your battery. Probably it is not at its best anyways. Next time just keep your engine running.
