Sunroof wind deflector motor noise
I was wondering if anyone had come across and resolved the following sunroof problem. As the window retracts and closes there an associated electromechanical system that raises and lowers the sunroof deflector. On my car this system makes a heck of racket, the sort you'd hear from a small hand drill that badly needs lubrication. The noise resonates pretty dramatically within the cabin. The motor / drive assembly is located behind the upper control panel. Does anyone have experience with taking this panel down? If I could get some grease up into the drive I suspect that it would quite down considerably.

Wind Deflector Horrible Noise
Mine did the same, I actually removed the motor and found out it was not defective. I will PM you the information for removal, if you find the answer was lubrication please let us know as I have not had time to put mine back into service yet.

Sunroof Noise
Had the same noise when the wind deflector was moving up and down. Service "lubed it" the first time. Did not toally get the noise and after 6 months came back. Finally, Audi replaced the little motor under CPO and all is now fixed and quiet. 2005 A8.
