Default Start/Stop Button Upgrade

Can I upgrade my start/stop button from 2008-10 D3? I know it'll plug in but will it still work? I like the looks of the upgraded buttons. If anybody can give me a part number and if it still works will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can't order the square start spot button anymore . The number has been superceded to the new round start button. I orderd mine from audiusaparts.com and they know what you want. I too wanted to upgrade the looks and glad I did it.

When you change the switch, there is a gold pin located about the middle of the switch that needs to be pulled out for you to remove the switch. It took me a while to figure it out but the switch will not come out without the pin being removed.

The round switch is what I'm talking about. 08-10 is when they went with the round start button. I have the square one which I don't like. How much did you pay for the new one??

I assume you're talking about this one. This was the button in my 05 that previous owner upgraded. I have the plain black one in my 07 now and would like to get this one also. If someone knows the part # let us know. Thanks

Just order a new start stop switch and you will get the round button switch. When you order one from a dealer, you will get the round one. The square one has been discontinued and no longer made. The numbers have been changed so for all D3 years will be replaced by the round button start switch.

I can't exactly remember how much it was. I ordered a ebrake switch, start stop switch, and S8 caliper covers but I think it was around $150
