Default Scrapping 2007 A8L--which parts to remove and sell?

I am scrapping a 2007 A8L that has 195,000 miles and engine damage due to a timing chain issue. My mechanic has offered to tow it to the scrap yard and he thinks I can get $400 for it based on the weight. I want to remove any valuable and easily removable parts beforehand to sell on eBay. His tow driver will remove the aftermarket wheels with snow tires and bring them back.

I am thinking to remove headlights and taillights because I know those are valuable. The interior has suffered from a persistent sunroof leak that has left mold and mildew on the seats. I've never done any of the repairs on this vehicle, but I have tools and generally know how to use them.

I am looking for suggestions for parts that are relatively easy to remove that have a high enough resale value to justify the time. Thanks for any help.

On top of the headlights you mentioned may I recommend... all electronic modules. Any under trays that have survived in tact. Harnesses may also have some value. Infotainment flip up screen assembly if its isn't broken. If your cup holder insert is still in one piece. If your wood(?) trim is in good condition. If you have rear door manual privacy screen(s) that still work. Air bags. Front / Rear bumper... doors, front quarters... really depends on how much effort / storage / shipping capability's you want to take on. Cluster. Steering wheel. Dash. These are parts I would consider easily removable. Some harnesses may be difficult depending on how much time you want to put into it. Sad to see another D3 go... wish you the best.

HPFP...easy to take off and can probably get a few bucks if you list here and you didn't have starting problems. I dropped $600 on mine. +1 on under trays and front fender liners. Always chewed up.

I would take a good working front left headlight and right and left front inner fenders (plastic liners).

... might also help knowing if headlights are non-adaptive or adaptive... and note if there are any current headlight related dash warnings. Part numbers are on the top of the headlight case... if still there.

Remove Headlights, Fog lights, Front bumper cover, Grill, Rear lens (outer and inner), Dash vents, Front ash tray assembly, Arm rest (if not water damaged), Emergency items in trunk, Battery, First aid kit. These are easily removable and can be sold on Ebay

Front bumper, grille, headlights, hood, under body splash shields and wheel well liners. Seats or seat covers in good shape. Passenger seat cover is identical to driver side seat cover.
Air compressor, valve block and struts if good. Or sell as core returns to the likes of RMT, etc. Wheels if good. All the electronic modules, MMI parts, backup cam, etc.

There’s lots of good stuff that will eventually find a home if you have the time, space, and skills to strip and ship. But don’t underestimate that task. It’s hard work to do as a driveway project.
