Every D3 S8 I’ve heard has an obnoxious whine that sounds like an old blower whine or a bad accessory bearing. Every single one.

I’m assuming it’s the power steering system and I’m assuming it’s because people don’t ever service that system, so the fluid breaks down and loses some of it’s lubricating abilities. Am I close? If not, what is this whine? If you’ve got an S8 you know what I’m talking about.

i think that’s normal. The 4.2 and the w12 never sound like that only the 5.2 V10.
I could be power steering, but I doubt it.

What whine? I have owned 4 D3 S8s. I have never heard any whine on any of them.

I think it’s just belt whine or something , but it’s normal.
I’ve heard many S8’s and they all sound the same so , I think it’s alittle paranoia that his V10 is going to break
