S8 Wheel Clearance
Hey guys, for simplicity I wanted to attempt to put some wheel info in one location for approval. I've been finding lots of information but none of it was very consolidated and conclusive.
I purchased my '07 S8 about a half year ago from a single female owner and I'm sure, no fault of hers, the rims are absolutely beat up to pieces. Long story short, I've found myself in the market for new ones. Even if I can nail down the factory dimensions I'd be able to determine what would fit so here goes as i understand:
Factory:
20 x 9", 5x112 bolt pattern, 42mm offset
What's the bore size???
I've been considering:
21 x 9", 38mm offset in the front
21 x 10.5, 32mm offset in the rear
Tire are tbd but I'm very flexible
I have the liberty to choose other offsets and/or use spacers fwiw.
Anyways, just looking for thoughts and/or errors.
Thanks in advance!

The hub bore size is 57.1mm
I personally don't recommend staggered sizes on our quattro vehicles. Being that our noses are heavy cause understeer, you would exacerbate the understeer with the staggered fitment.
That being said, the front and back seem to a workable fitment if you want the staggered setup.

Staggered works great on Audis--just put the big ones on the FRONT!
Obviously not, but that's the "performance" set up theoretically. Forget the want to be a Bimmer or Merc type staggered ideas--those are RWD biased. Even Audi AWD's are fundamentally a FWD chassis sort of set up with a pig heavy front end.
Or, go ahead and put 'em on the rear to reduce performance in general. Then it is all show, and actually less go.

Good point, I do come from the BMW arena so that was only my natural tendency. Honestly, I was just aiming for a concave look in the rear. I've been leaning towards these but am still a few months (and advice) away from a decision.

More info...
I run 275/35-20's on factory 20 x 9's ET46. S8 factory is the same wheel dimension wise, but they use a 265 generally. But at least on some S8 265's like the original Yokos, they were apparently actually a 275 tire tread width wise, but just cut down on the sidewall. If so (or you want to run 275's like either W12's or even later sport wheel equipped A8's), you would go directly by my #'s at 275. If at 265 and they are a bit narrower, you probably have a few more mm to go up the next little bit on spacer width.
Net, on mine with those dimensions and the 275's, 20mm spacers fully clear in back. At 25mm it just brushes the fender liner in one place if you put extreme force on that corner to get the wheel moved up. Having run it on the road about 1000 miles though as a test, it never rubbed and the fender liner showed zero abrasion. In front, up to 15mm works before it starts to look odd fairly clearly sticking out. I settled on 20 rear 12 front as buttoned down but still believable aggressive quasi stock look. By 25 rear 15 front it was starting to look like a more obvious modded set up in how the wheels lined up to the openings up front and the general stance in back--at least to me. Tuned but still pretty true to (high HP) stock is my target look, rather than more aggressive modded.
(BTW for anybody reading this on 255's and factory 8 1/2s, you will find other posts and pics suggesting these #s can go up another 5+ mm; the numbers above are very specific to the 20 x 9 factory fitments).

After reading a bit more I'm now definitely convinced that the staggered look is a no-go for quattro.
So, alternatively, instead of doing 9" all around, any thoughts on if a 21x10.5 at a 32mm offset would work?

You can fit those 21x10.5 ET32 to the car. What about tires?
