Default Question about trunk release button on Drivers door

Does anyone know if you can code this button to also close the trunk? Obviously, it opens the trunk but not close. If this is possible can you let me know the menus and options?

On another note is there list of coding options somewhere?

You can purchase a module to close the trunk with your key fob. I have the Kufatec module and works like a charm. I'm in a wheel chair so I can't reach the close button when the trunk is fully opened. I have not heard of anyone getting the trunk button to close the trunk on a D3.

It is not there for a security reason. Heavy and quite forceful trunk lid can easily hurt somebody closing unattended. Start closing and try to stop it with your hand. Than imagine if there is unprepared lady or child trying to reach something in the last moment.

Only reason I inquired is b/c I was able to code this on my 7 series. Well it was worth a shot..

Mishar,
You make some good strong points.. It's definitely not a "need" to have it.

I have one of the German market modules that closes with the fob. I bought it used, but the current line from that company will close from either the fob or the door button. I find that it would be convenient at times to close via door button, but I was unwilling to pay new price. And having the key close the boot is definitely worth doing IMO.

Isn't the key fob close standard? This works on my 07 s8. Opens and closes through the fob.

Whoever owned your S8 prior to you put in a German aftermarket module such as the one I installed.
