Default Picked Up The A8L Yesterday... OMG!!!

Both of my cars Q7 & A8 are bought from Southern CA. Both cars I had to drive over 350 miles to get them, and the winner is 06 A8L.
The car was so comfortable, I drove straight 350 miles with 1 quick stop.
The massage seat helped me every time the lower back got tired (amazing).
Couldn't drive 70 mph.
335 miles for 13.77 gallons, just a little over 1/2 tank - NOT BAD at all.
Tried dynamic - to bumpy >75 (that's when it's activated)
Tried standard - nice and comfortable.
Tried automatic - almost the same as standard, left it at that.
Bluetooth paired with cell phone nicely, clear and strong.
Navigation was updated to 08/09 DVD, it's wonderful.
TPMS works perfectly.
Soft doors work.
Trunk auto - not too convenient, slow. I rather to lift up and slam down.
Temperature always middle.
battery indicator 100%.
NO MP3 CD......
Driving on curvy 152 so stable and huggyyyyyy.

More pictures and stuff soon.

Congrats! Looks great, you bought exactly what I am looking for. I just need to find one in the Northeast. Can I ask what you paid?

Ruined for anything else

Why drive a car when you can pilot an Audi.

Edit: And congratulations!

Greg,
I believe I got a good deal. One owner bought new with $84k total price out of the door, sticker price was 81k (still have original sticker + all keys even emergency). He listed his car on Autotrader for $21,500. After 4 weeks of talking while everyone is looking for the best deal (he's selling for more, and I want to pay for less). A 47k miles 06 short wheel base showed up for $22k. The owner agreed to sell to me for $20750. I was ready to fly to Oregon to get it. The problems are I have no good pictures of the 47k miles one, 2nd owner, nothing on the carfax (clear but no service records). The nice man from Brentwood call me the last day before I finalize the deal with 47k miles and offered to sell the car to me for $17k instead of my offered price a month ago for 18k because I found the 47k miles one.
The 47k miles one sold the same day I declined the deal to go with 73k miles.

The reasons I go with this 73k miles instead of 47k miles beside $4000 (with travel) difference for 25k miles newer are:

<a href="http://dognmonkey.com/media/audis/06a8/mya8.pdf">carfax</a>
carfax show all things were done up to 69k miles and he has all receipts for them.
-55k miles full tune up - spark plugs - all fluids changed - $2700.
-4 brand new tires $1300 since Feb.
-5 TPMS sensors $125 each since Feb.
-3 Soft close sensors.
-Valve cover gaskets and synthetic oil change at 72k miles.
-Suspension stuff (clunking) done.
-Brand new battery for keyfob remotes.
-Brake and rotors replaced at 55k miles. I checked, the pads are less than 50%, no problems.

So, it does look like A8 @ about 39k-50k, lots of things can go wrong, according to the receipts on this car. If I buy the 47k miles, yes, in a few years, the mileage is still low and I can sell for more, but I may have to come up with money to fix all these things and they're all most over 7k on receipts. BTW, I plan to keep the car for at least 7 years, so, my last 98 lasted 175k without doing anything to it, this one, if it runs $175k, I'll give it away like the last 98.

Default How to access MMI software version?

I want to see what MMI version I have, how do I do it?
Both fit in the garage - thanks to my wife cleaning it up before I got home.

200 miles and it's only over a 1/4 tank a little at >>>75mph? Amazing car.

Congrat's on the new ride! I, too, have bought a couple of my Audis in S. Cal., but living in Houston it is an altogether different road trip experience home! But that is part of the experience.

Nice car -- and sounds like you got a good deal. Well worth all the homework and analysis.

Now, let's see some pic's from the outside....!

Press Setup + Return and you will get:

Your version is oldish. On newer versions they renamed Standard to Comfort.

To upgrade you need 4F0 998 961

Edit: Sorry I missed it. Your picture 2 shows version 2740.

Edit Edit: That is Jake's old lady.
