Default Reset service light

All right, I give up. How do you reset the service light? I reset every parameter in VCDS after the quick button for reset service light didn't work, and it still says "Service!" Of all the stupid things to be stumped by, I know...

I've had good results by using the key to start the vehicle, post RSL procedure.

I don't know if it was the key or doing the SRI quick reset the right way. I don't know why, but when I clicked the SRI button, seeing it check all the values made me think it was resetting them. I hadn't seen the pull down menu. Then I started it manually with the key and the light is now gone. Thanks for the quick and easy answer to a stupid question. Now, if only I could figure out why there's a code for N201 Driver's Side Ignitor keeping the airbag light on...

For that type of airbag code, the usual fix is DeOxit contact cleaner or just remove the connector and splice the wires using butt connectors or soldering.

The connector for the ignitor looks like it's really hard to access. Are you supposed to get at it through the trunk or is the rear deck supposed to come off?

Not sure which airbag connector you are looking for but there are some underneath the rear bench.

N201 Driver's Side Rear Igniter. Looking at diagrams I have, it looks like it's the one in the rearmost pillar.
