New car Christmas!
Yesterday I received cabin and engine filters, as well as tranny filter. Here's what arrived today:
Winter wheels ($99 ea!), tranny fluid, and weathertech mats (it's a commuter, after all...)
Setting a time to 3m the front end, then will just drive it for a bit.....
I love the wheels....

The last two wheels arrived yesterday, I put them up on my winter wheel hanger until I can figure out tires.
True snow tires? SO expensive! I am thinking about going with an aggressive all season like the Conti DWS, they have a pretty good reputation. Do y'all think a good all season with Quattro will handle the job? I have never had a Quattro system before, not sure how it will handle in the snow.

Quattro helps you go, tires help you slow.
When I got my first Audi I could not believe how much traction I had in the snow, like grinning like an idiot for hours while blasting around empty lots. It wasn't until I got real winter tires to replace the all season that I learned how much better breaking and turning are with true snow tires.
Here in Seattle we don't get much snow, you would be fine with all seasons as long as you don't drive like a pissed off teen in the snow. I'd imagine you see a lot more of the white stuff in Utah, especially if you are a skier/ snowboarder. Being spring I would keep en eye out for deals on Craigslist, I have gotten lots of almost new tires for less then half price, which is fine for me and the 3-4 months I run a winter set up.
